Mid-century modern, meaning "modern retro"

Mid-century modern style harkens back nostalgically to the 1950s and 1960s, allowing functionality to take control of design. It uses uncomplicated lines, simple forms, but does not exclude the playfulness of colours or patterns, which brings a serene atmosphere to the interior, in which pastel blues are combined with pink and white, pearl-glittering tiles are juxtaposed with matt tiles and patterned terazzo flooring. The bathroom furniture with its simplified silhouettes and the white bathtub stand on high, chrome legs, giving the arrangement a light touch. The chrome wash basin mixers and the Seppia bidet model fit in well with the "modern retro" trend. Functional, comfort-enhancing and unobtrusive, they do not dominate the design, but blend in.
